All remote learning will use Google Classroom. Below are the links for students so that they can access school accounts that they may need to complete work remotely. This document also gives some extra details about the various accounts: User Account Access

Google: To access Google, please follow this link: accounts.google.com/signin. If you don’t know your School Google password you can now reset it yourself using the following instruction:
1. At the log in box enter your full school email address and then click next
2. Click ‘Forgot password?’
3. Click ‘Try another way’
4. Click ‘Send’
5. This will send an email to your school account with a code in it. Enter this code in the box provided and it will then ask you to set a new password.
Google classroom can be accessed directly using this link: classroom.google.com
Access to Google Classroom using Xbox and Playstation: Google classroom can be accessed using the Xbox or Playstation games consoles if you download Chrome. It is easier to use if you plug in a keyboard. For further details about how to do this, please click here.
Email: Email can be accessed at webmail.advanceditservices.co.uk using your student username (just the username and not your full school email address. The password is your school password).
Student Files: Student files can be access at myfiles.advanceditservices.co.uk using your student username (just the username and not your full school email address. The password is your school password)
Office 365: As a student attending John Port Spencer Academy you are able to download and install a free copy of Microsoft Office 365 on your home computers. You will be able to use this for as long as you are a student here. It can b.e installed on up to 5 devices and is available for Windows or Mac OS X. Please follow these instructions. Go to portal.office.com and login with your school email address and school password. Click the ‘Install Office’ button in the top right. Select ‘Office 365 apps’. This will download a setup file. Run this when it has finished downloading and it will install Office 365.
Accelerated Reader: Accelerated Reader is a reading scheme designed to create a culture of reading and to accelerate learning through reading. Students in Year 7 and 8 can log on to Accelerated Reader to take their AR quizzes using their school username and password by clicking here.

Library Click and Collect Service: The library click and collect service can be accessed using this link library.johnport.derbyshire.sch.uk. Books can be requested using the service, and then can be easily collected from the library.
Students in Year 7 and 8 also have access to a digital library where they can choose and read books online. www.myon.co.uk
Virtual School Library: Oak National Academy and the National Literacy Trust have come together to launch our Virtual School Library to keep children reading during lockdown. Full details are available here: library.thenational.academy

Kerboodle: All of the usernames for Kerboodle have recently been changed so that they match school usernames (just your username and not your full school email address). To access Kerboodle, follow this link: www.kerboodle.com/users/login. The institution code is: sti5. Use your student school username. If you haven’t used Kerboodle before, or if you can’t remember your password, click the ‘Trouble logging in?’ link on the log in page and when it asks for an email address enter your school email address.
Educake: The link for Educake is: www.educake.co.uk/forstudents. If you don’t have your username and password, please email itsupport@johnportspencer.com who will be able to help with this.
Seneca: To reset your password, go to app.senecalearning.com/login, click forgotten password and enter your school email address it will send you a reset email to your school email account. If you don’t have an account click on ‘Sign up’ and create one, making sure you use your school email address.
