Parent Teacher Association

John Port Spencer Academy has an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to which, all parents, carers of students and staff are automatically members. The PTA is a charity body which relies on volunteer support and organises up to 25 fundraising events each year. Funds raised by the PTA are channelled back into the school, providing funding for equipment or student opportunities that would not otherwise be possible from normal budget allocation.

The PTA have been pleased to support many, varied requests including providing funding for a drone, classroom sets of foreign language dictionaries, anti-bullying training for students, maths software, table tennis tables, hand-mixers, a digital piano, classroom visualisers, camera macro lenses, theatre curtains and lots more! The PTA also financially supported the lease of a new minibus.

None of this would be possible without the PTA committee volunteers and the help and support of parents/carers of students at the Academy.
