This Christmas, could you spare five minutes to search your cupboards and help a local family?
Spencer schools work with communities, supporting pupils and students from early years to young adulthood.
To help keep our growing families warm, staff in our schools have volunteered to run the Spencer Warm Hearts, Warm Coats appeal, designed to ensure all of our children and students have warm winter clothes this year.
From Monday 9th December until Friday 13th December, John Port Spencer Academy will be collecting winter coats and shoes, scarves, hats and gloves meeting school dress codes to donate across our group of schools.
Items will be distributed to families during the last week of term. All items will be offered to pupils and students in our schools in the first instance.
To limit the need for sorting, parents are asked to only donate items that meet uniform expectations and in condition to be used by another family. We will particularly appreciate coats that children may have grown out of, but which may have years of wear left in them. Any leftover items will be donated to Operation Orphan, a local charity working with families in Nottingham.
Toasty toes aid concentration, and being warm and comfortable in school makes a huge difference to our pupils and students. Please help if you can.
With thanks and warm good wishes for the holiday season.
