Following the weekend we have had an increase of positive coronavirus cases in all year groups across the academy.
To reduce the spread of coronavirus and enable us to keep the school running we will be re-introducing the wearing of masks inside buildings from Wednesday 22nd September. We hope you will support us with this measure to protect students and staff.
To keep our school community as safe as possible, twice weekly testing is really important. Please continue to test your child twice a week and report results via the NHS website. Positive results also need to be reported to us immediately via the coronavirus@johnport.derbyshire.sch.uk email address. Although we might not reply to individual emails, this email address is monitored on a daily basis so your child’s absence will be recorded.
If your child has tested positive for coronavirus and feels well enough to work, work is available on Google Classroom. Details about remote learning are available on our website: http://www.johnportspencer.com/remote-learning/. If you have any questions about remote learning, please contact your child’s year team.
