Exam Contingency Day – 26th June 2019

As part the 2019 exam timetable all examination boards will now have a ‘contingency day’.

For this year the date given is Wednesday 26th June which means that all students will need to make sure they remain available up to and including that day in case the exam boards need to use it. The decision comes following some tragic events, namely the Manchester attacks and the Grenfell Tower fire. JCQ have decided that they need the option to postpone an exam in the event of an incident and rearrange for a later day to allow students a fair and equal chance.

If you have any questions about this please speak to the relevant year team or contact the Exams Office.
