COVID-19 Update – 27th November 2020

Thank you for your continued support and assistance with encouraging students to engage with the online learning. The attendance in the online lessons has been fantastic this week.

I am pleased to confirm that we are now in a position to have all students in the Academy next week (except those isolating). Please remind students that face coverings are compulsory when moving around the site and on public/school transport. The weather next week is also looking quite chilly so I would recommend a warm coat.

Please do not send students into school if a member of the family is having a COVID test. It is really important that they isolate until the results are known. We have sent a number of students home when this has occurred and this is putting staff and other students at risk.

We are trialling an online parent consultation system for Year 13 and hope to run this during the week beginning Monday 7th December. Further details will be sent to parents next week.

The Year 11 parent consultations will be scheduled after we have trialled the system with Year 13, but is likely to be just after Christmas. Mock results however, will be issued before Christmas. Please remind Year 11 students to complete applications for the Sixth Form if they intend to apply. The deadline for online applications is 11th December 2020. Further details about the Sixth Form (including the Prospectus and application form) is available on our website:

Kind regards
