COVID-19 Update – 17th November 2020

As you are aware, staff have worked tirelessly since September to keep the school running as normally as possible. Over the past two weeks we have experienced considerable staff shortages affecting both teaching and support staff groups. This has unfortunately led to a position where we have insufficient staff to function as normal with teaching, support and supervision of students. My priority is for the Health and Safety of the staff and students, so we are moving more students onto remote learning.

All students except Years 7 and 9 are requested to work at home for the remainder of this week. The current plan for next week is for Years 7 and 11 to be in the Academy and all other students to access their work remotely.

We will continue to monitor the situation and ask that all parents are prepared for students to be able to access work at home. We will continue to keep parents updated.

Kind regards
